TEACHING OF COMMUNICATION CURRICULUM 1
TEACHING OF COMMUNICATION CURRICULUM 3
Theories of Learning
In an essay of 1,500-1,750 words, describe how behaviorism, cognitivism, and constructivism might inform your teaching of communication curriculum. What situations might lend themselves to one theory over the other?
Pretend you are teaching cultural sensitivity, explain how you would apply each of Bloom’s three domains of learning (cognitive, affective, behavioral).
Support your essay with a minimum of five sources.
Prepare this assignment according to the guidelines found in the APA Style Guide, located in the Student Success Center. An abstract is not required.

Learning to take place there must be behaviorism, cognitivism and constructivism so that learning can have a meaningful foundation. Behaviorism is when there is a focus on the most important things for the study of students and their foundations of learning. Cognitivism is the ability of the student to learn rather than observing the behavior and it doesn't involve the outward exhibition of learning (AA & Yarmohammadia,2015). The cognitivism focuses more on the internal process and connections that take place during the learning process. Constructivism underlays both behavioral and cognitive theories that have the world of reality and external to the learner and the map of the theory is to map the structure of the world into the learner's understanding.
This theory will lend my teaching behaviors in that I have to know the student's main focuses and how he takes the information that I am feeding him. This theory will impact on how frequently I observe the performance of the learner and accomplish the proper response of the demonstration and following the presentations of stimuli to a specific environment (Hoque,2016). For instance, I will pose a question over what I had thought my students earlier and this will help me look at how they are taking situations and handling the behaviour of their motives. This theory will help me focus on the consequences that will help in the performances and contends on the responses that are following by the reinforcements that may happen in the future.
Behaviourism influences the learner and the environment that he is learning and this has the considerations of the conditions that will have the emphasis of the assess and learners to determine the progressive measures of the student. Behaviourism has the connection of the habits of the attention and it gives the ability to recall information for the future. Behavioural theories that the job of the teacher is to determine the desired responses and practices that prompt situations that help in having targets that learners should meet.
This learning theory makes shifts away from the use of behavioural models that are approaching the relied learning and modelling theories. The theory has the overt, observable behaviour and stressed instead of more complex cognitive processes that are more of thinking, problem-solving, language and information processing. The shift of behavioral orientation to cognitive orientation has helped to have same shifts and procedures that will help in manipulating the materials that will help in presenting the instructional system of the procedures that students will help in having the interaction of the teaching design on learners.
In this theory, learning occurs by stressing on the acquisition of knowledge and mental structure such as the rationalist and epistemology. Learning takes places with the changes that take place for the conceptualization of students and learners to process the address and issues of how they receive information. Cognitive theory has more focus on the information students have and the manner they receive it rather than how they acquire the knowledge. According to this theory, the manner on how the information is being processed is the key that on the acquisition making it a more versatile method to have on learning. The theory ensures that there is a better use of the knowledge and way of getting it. The real-world events trigger particular responses but the learner must believe in the knowledge that is being used in a given situation before the learner can activate it. Problem-solving and information processing are the key factors that are supposed to have the main factor on how they have captured the knowledge. Because of the mental structure, the cognitive theory is usually considered more appropriate for the complex learning that will help the behavioral.
The constructivism has a combination of behavioral and cognitive theories as the primary objectivistic of the world is real. The goal of instructions is to ensure that there is the structure of the world that learners have to make sure they have all the cognitive theories that will help in making the basic assumptions that have to start in an individual to create a meaningful experience. This psychological viewpoint has the attention to create deep learning for the learner to know and put it into practice (Haghshenas,2015). The environment and the thought of having the experience of knowing has a magnificent viewpoint of having all conditions having to be covered for better application of the theory. Thinking of the kind is the cognitive tool that will help in ensuring all aspects of learning have the best way of having learners get the content they are supposed to have. The internal representation of the world has the basis of individual experiences and interactions that will help in making all practices work well for the individual.
The situation that might lend one theory over the other
A situation such as when learners need to have a different learning environment and yet they have to get the content of the lesson this will make the behavioural that has more concern to the environment and cognitive theories to be overrun other theories thus making others not to be applied. The situation where students have the conditioning of having their studies considered with the environment that they are learning from. The behaviourism is more to young children who have their considerations and habits to learn via their environment and having their common factors in growth.
The constructivism theory is more into internal memory and remembering of what the learner has gathered thus having a disparity of the ideas that are learned. The learning process of young learners is more of having the consideration of the environment thus ensuring they are learning well as their age. The situation of young learners will be favored with the behavior theory since the tutor will use observation so that he can know how the learner is responding to the ideas that they are being thought. The methods of having the best ways of having learners to know a better way of understanding the knowledge they will have a better way of growth that exposing them to the constructivism and cognitive theory.
How I will apply each of bloom’s three domains of learning
I will impact the cultural sensitivity by having the full knowledge that is needed for me to ensure that my learners can confide enough information. Culture sensitivity is key to lives of learners and this will help me have a good way of having a better way of ensuring my learners have a better way of gathering the knowledge they are having to be a useful one. The knowledge that I will have will help the learners gather more skills on the culture sensitivity by giving them examples on how they should handle such situations when they happen to them in real life (Ertmer & Newby,2017). Cultural sensitivity is key to having all factors that are supposed to combat the knowledge they are having. Having the most appropriate way of having their education is having the best way of having the background of the knowledge they are having so that they can make appropriate ways of having learning standards of having them learn.
I will help my learners to have a better attitude on having their knowledge covered so that they can have a better way of grasping the knowledge. Having a good attitude, it will help learners to be ready to learn. I will improve their attitude by showing them the importance of learning culture sensitivity and how it’s appropriate to their age. This will help in ensuring learners have the attitude that is appropriate for the learner to make a good mindset for them to learn. The best way of having learning culture sensitivity is having all the guides with them and appropriate ways of knowing with them. Attitude will be applied to having a good condition that will help learners to have a good check and cover for the learning process that they are having (Clark,2018). The condition that is being covered in culture-sensitive is more appropriate for the growth of the learner to take the knowledge to heart and own it. The affective will help learners create the mood of learning and knowing more details that they would like to know in details
Behavioral is more to the skills that a learner is supposed to have thus made the growth and development of learning to have appropriate ways of having a better way of understanding. Having a better way of handling behavioral theory and skills it will help learners to have some skills that they need in the cultural sensitivity. The learning process of the theory has a big impact on behavior since it's attached to the skills that are to be acquired thus making the learning process to be effective. The behavioral skills that are acquired via the cultural sensitivity will help in making the learner have more concentration to have the full package of the knowledge that is needed by learners.
